These are amazing paintings. I can't think of anything in the west in the same time period that is as moving, as emotionally evocative, except Norman Rockwell.I have never seen these haunting paintings before, but they reminded me not so much of Rockwell, but very much of the work of American war artist Tom Lea whose work was published in LIFE magazine.
