People often think that those of us who disagree with the religion of global warmism automatically care nothing for the environment at all. That would be false. Here is a case in point. This photograph from NASA's Aqua satellite shows the air pollution over eastern China and the Korean peninsula last Friday, October 23.The grey haze is mostly coal smoke and who knows what other uncontrolled aerosols, solvents and particulates.
Forget global warming, this is the real reason the world needs to find ways to burn fossil fuels more cleanly and efficiently. Some day we'll replace them altogether. The good news is that as industrialized nations become more wealthy they also tend to clean up the environment.
