Large New Sunspot

After 142 days of no sunspot activity whatsoever, a large spot suddenly erupted last Saturday. From SpaceWeather:
Sunspot 1024 is experiencing some decay and solar flare activity is subsiding. Nevertheless, by recent standards it is still a behemoth.
